I always wanted to be a rock and roll star.
More specifically, the lead man in a band with legions of followers who hung on every guitar lick and spent way too much time thinking about the lyrics I sang. I dreamed of “riding that train” with Jerry, Janis and The Band, jamming and well… Alas, personal responsibility, a lack of musical talent, and the need to eat something more than veggie burritos on Shakedown Street, killed my rock and roll dream.
Or so I thought.
Next week, I will be heading to the UK. Getting on the train and taking the show on the road. I am participating in the “SharePoint Customer Journey” being put on next week by Microsoft and featuring stops in Edinburgh, Manchester, Reading and London. These events will bring together speakers from Microsoft, Metalogix, Nintex and KnowledgeLake, as well as me, to discuss and demonstrate how organizations can get the most out of SharePoint.
For my part of the show, I will be “jamming” on the current “big data” security challenge that many organizations are looking to SharePoint to help them manage. Specifically, I am going to explore how to make SharePoint into a broadly adopted compliance and security asset. The rest of the set list is below.
Look forward to seeing you out on the road. This must be what Jerry felt like before he left for the famous Europe ’72 tour.
Make sure to follow @HiSoftware and this space for more updates as the tour rolls on.
